Watercolors

Why so colorful?

This group of watercolor illustrations is my response to the changing climate my love for the area where I live. I want people to see and appreciate these animals and maybe be inspired by their beauty to want to preserve the habitats where they live. 

People do not often think of bright and vibrant colors when they think of the NW. The earthy tones of brown, green, blue and yellow are maybe more common. I wanted  to show a more fanciful pallet to better express how I feel about these animals.
